ProteinPal

About

Free UK protein intake calculator and nutrition guides is an independent UK website for people who want practical, numbers-based nutrition guidance. It started with a simple frustration: protein advice is either vague (“eat more”) or buried in jargon, and most people never learn their own daily target in grams. The free protein intake calculator on the home page and the tools around it exist to fix that.

Who writes this site

The articles are written and edited by the author shown at the bottom of every article and in the sidebar. You can read their short bio there. We are not affiliated with any supplement brand, we do not sell coaching or meal plans, and we do not promise results.

What you will find here

Free calculators for daily protein intake, calorie needs (TDEE), per-meal protein planning, protein costs in pounds, lean-body-mass targets, macro splits and BMI — plus practical guides on hitting your protein target with ordinary UK supermarket food. Every guide shows its working with real numbers and links to neutral outside sources such as the NHS and the British Nutrition Foundation so you can check things for yourself.

How we write and check content

We aim for plain language, real numbers and honest limits. Nutrition science moves, so we describe the reasoning and cite reputable sources rather than stating anything as absolute truth. Articles are reviewed before publishing and updated when something is wrong or out of date. Where AI tools are used to help with drafting, a person reads, edits and takes responsibility for the final text.

Corrections and contact

If you spot a mistake or want a topic covered, please use the contact page. We read every message and fix errors as soon as we can.
